Health Tip: Safely Store Food in the Fridge

(HealthDay News) -- Storing foods properly inside your refrigerator can help prevent juices from seeping out and contaminating other foods.

The FoodSafety.gov website offers this food-storage advice:

Store raw meat, seafood and poultry inside a plastic or glass container, or a plastic bag.Freeze raw meat, seafood or poultry that you won't be using in the next couple of days.Store eggs in their original cartons.Place eggs inside the main part of the refrigerator, rather than inside the door.
