runners amenorrhea

Hey everyone I'm 17 5'9 and for the past 5 months have gotten into eating healthy and exercising for at least 5 times a week. I usually run about 6 miles and of sit ups and free weights. I haven't got my period for about 6 months. If this is runners amenorrhea is it bad? Cuz I want my period

to come back but I also want to do cross country for the first time starting this summer? I really enjoy running and I finally found a sport I like. Help!
